Being prepared to vote, to stand up for your: rights, thoughts, opinions, for those who have no voice. That is what it’s all about. Considering the current state of affairs & all hot topic issues at stake, this round of elections is nothing short of imperative! Hispanics, young voters, EVERYONE who can, should participate! Some would argue that they don’t vote because their choice never wins. Even if your choice doesn’t come out on top, a vote means: allowing your presence to be felt, & numbers most certainly do count. Special attention is dedicated to statistics when it comes to voting. Voting is you saying : “Present!” “I am part of this country too & will not be overlooked , under or falsely represented” We can not sit idly by during the decision-making process then become outraged if unjust or reprehensible laws are passed by inadequate leaders.

Clothes, eye contact, location, nervousness are among a few of the guidelines on the list given to officers who will be in charge of enforcing SB 1070. The Dessert Lamp breaks it down for those wondering just what do they mean by “reasonable suspicion”, and learn about the “lawful stop” provision in SB 1070 which originally read “lawful contact”. Giving out voluntary statements regarding legal status, and what role Miranda rights play in such an case.
Check it out the Prescott AZ school district has decided not to mess with the mural and issued an apology. Blair has lost his radio spot, yet continues to be and idiot about the issue. He called the mural a “defacement of a historical building.” So here’s what he says is his main beef with the mural, Blair says that he doesn’t see a good representation of the mural’s theme “Go Green”. Alright, well then that would mean that a change to what the kids are doing to exemplify “going green” would be in order not to the kids themselves. I like the way an article described the issue saying the reason why they were trying to avert the mural was, because it represents change and they find it threatening. That point is clearly illustrated in this quote “”It was too big, too in your face, wrong place, wrong time,” said Blair. Great news that the mural won’t be “adjusted due to artistic issues” because if a city witnesses growing animosity amongst its citizens it has a duty to promote peace. It is the easy and coward’s way, acceding to those who are pro hate, discrimination, and division of the community. By acceding, the city would be basically saying “our city will stand for these sorts of inclinations and sentiments, such things can go on in our community. Whether active or passive, it is wrong to support such detrimental tendencies.

An elementary school in Prescott Arizona altered a mural that depicts the faces of its own students. Why? It has been reported that intolerant antagonizers where driving past the mural and yelling racial slurs, not only that but city councilman Blair had an issue with it as well. He stated on the radio that when he saw the mural and the fact that the focal point was a black person one question came to mind “Why?” The spineless jelly fish of administrators who are not only tolerating this bull crap but acceding to it say that it was nothing more than a touch up, brought on by issues stemming from an artistic point of view. That they thought lighter shading represented the kids “coming into the light”. I agree with the HuffPo reporter there are no two sides to this story, and it’s a shame that the story is not being diffused in a broader manner. I also agree with the fact that the school should have said NO WAY to the ludicrous idea of messing with the way the mural was. Ironic, yesterday on Twitter I read a tweet by someone who said he had gone out to a Mexican restaurant in solidarity, to show support to the business and its owners, he said “If they get rid of them you know who’s next”

RADIO AD AGAINST SB1070 ON DODGERS RADIO LISTEN TO IT HERE:
It’s not about breaking or protecting the law it’s about breeding ill will amongst communities. These “United States” politicians are propagating and heralding division. It’s completely oxymoronic to say that there are no ill intentions behind the laws emerging as of late in Arizona. Bottom line: whether you’re out there personally slinging racial slurs and committing hate crimes or giving people a thumbs up and a green flag for such sentiments in the form of “legislation”it all amounts to the same thing = obtuse thinking. These so called heroes and patriotic protectors are after all politicians and if it’s one thing politicians are good at, it’s underestimating the public and believing that they are especially easy to manipulate in times of crisis . The obscuring of facts and fear mongering are they’re choice of weapons.

SHOW US YOUR PAPERS AND THEN WE’LL STILL DEPORT YOU
As long as you have your papers everything will be ok. People are overacting and propogating false fears. Here’s how false our suspicious and fears of SB 1070 were. Even though he clearly presented his papers ( ID and birth certificate) a Chicago man was detained for three days.
“Yesterday, the Seattle City Council unanimously voted to boycottArizona by ending official city travel there and resolving, when practical, to cut off future contracts with Arizona-based businesses. That makes Seattle the 11th city to endorse a boycott of the state in opposition to its controversial immigration law. Five of the boycotting cities are in California: Los Angeles tops the list as the biggest, and its boycott could deliver the most painful blow to Arizona’s economy, as the city has $58 million in existing contracts with Arizona companies, according to the L.A. Times.
In pending city votes, some members of Dallas’s city council are considering a boycott, along with the municipal governments in
