Check it out the Prescott AZ school district has decided not to mess with the mural and issued an apology. Blair has lost his radio spot, yet continues to be and idiot about the issue. He called the mural a “defacement of a historical building.” So here’s what he says is his main beef with the mural, Blair says that he doesn’t see a good representation of the mural’s theme “Go Green”. Alright, well then that would mean that a change to what the kids are doing to exemplify “going green” would be in order not to the kids themselves. I like the way an article described the issue saying the reason why they were trying to avert the mural was, because it represents change and they find it threatening. That point is clearly illustrated in this quote “”It was too big, too in your face, wrong place, wrong time,” said Blair. Great news that the mural won’t be “adjusted due to artistic issues” because if a city witnesses growing animosity amongst its citizens it has a duty to promote peace. It is the easy and coward’s way, acceding to those who are pro hate, discrimination, and division of the community. By acceding, the city would be basically saying “our city will stand for these sorts of inclinations and sentiments, such things can go on in our community. Whether active or passive, it is wrong to support such detrimental tendencies.

An elementary school in Prescott Arizona altered a mural that depicts the faces of its own students. Why? It has been reported that intolerant antagonizers where driving past the mural and yelling racial slurs, not only that but city councilman Blair had an issue with it as well. He stated on the radio that when he saw the mural and the fact that the focal point was a black person one question came to mind “Why?” The spineless jelly fish of administrators who are not only tolerating this bull crap but acceding to it say that it was nothing more than a touch up, brought on by issues stemming from an artistic point of view. That they thought lighter shading represented the kids “coming into the light”. I agree with the HuffPo reporter there are no two sides to this story, and it’s a shame that the story is not being diffused in a broader manner. I also agree with the fact that the school should have said NO WAY to the ludicrous idea of messing with the way the mural was. Ironic, yesterday on Twitter I read a tweet by someone who said he had gone out to a Mexican restaurant in solidarity, to show support to the business and its owners, he said “If they get rid of them you know who’s next”
