Can’t hear you, Speak up : The power to Vote

Being prepared to vote, to stand up for your: rights, thoughts, opinions, for those who have no voice. That is what it’s all about. Considering the current state of affairs &  all hot topic issues at stake, this round of elections is nothing short of imperative!  Hispanics, young voters, EVERYONE who can, should participate!  Some would argue that they don’t vote because their choice never wins. Even if your choice doesn’t come out on top, a vote means: allowing your presence to be felt, &  numbers most certainly do count. Special attention is dedicated to statistics when it comes to voting. Voting is you saying : “Present!” “I am part of this country too  & will not be overlooked , under or falsely represented”  We can not sit idly by during the decision-making process then become outraged if unjust or reprehensible laws are passed by inadequate leaders.

Get familiar with the issues being discussed & decided on for the Nov elections.  Listen to what others have to say, &  get a feel for what those getting ready to hit the polls are thinking by visiting the Yahoo ask America forum http://askamerica.yahoo.com/

Artists Call To Boycott Arizona

It’s not about breaking or protecting the law it’s about breeding ill will amongst communities. These “United States” politicians are propagating and heralding division. It’s completely oxymoronic to say that there are no ill intentions behind the laws emerging as of late in Arizona. Bottom line:  whether you’re out there personally slinging racial slurs and committing hate crimes or giving people a thumbs up and a green flag  for such sentiments in the form of “legislation”it all amounts to the same thing = obtuse thinking. These so called heroes and patriotic protectors are after all politicians and if it’s one thing politicians are good at, it’s underestimating the public and believing that they are especially easy to manipulate  in times of crisis .  The obscuring of facts and  fear mongering are they’re choice of weapons.

SHOW US YOUR PAPERS AND THEN WE’LL STILL DEPORT YOU

As long as you have your papers everything will be ok. People are overacting and propogating false fears. Here’s how false our suspicious and fears of SB 1070 were. Even though he clearly presented his papers ( ID and birth certificate) a Chicago man was detained for three days.
